Hello, My name is.. (59)

Dear Diary,
I'm sorry I haven't been updating regularly. Listen to me, why am I apologizing? You're my diary, so my diary, my rules! Anyway, I've been unusually busy these past few weeks, the courses are much more demanding this year so I've been spending most of my time working on assignments, the rest of the time I spent with the girls, 3abdallah and Fa6ma.
I haven't seen S3ood since that day in the restaurant. He called me the next day and I didn't answer. I no longer want drama in my life; in my opinion love is supposed to be simple, it has to make you happy, like Fa6ma and 3abdallah are together, otherwise it'll tear you appart, break you down, piece by piece until nothing is left of you. I don't want that. He never called me again, I guess that's it then. No more S3ood in my life. No more heartache. No more love. I mourned him for two weeks, then I decided that I didn't want to do this any longer, he'll always be my first love, he'll always hold a special place in my heart, a place that no one will ever be able to take, for the rest of my life. I swore to myself that I will not let him hurt me anymore, because I'm stronger than this, I deserve better than this. During my "mourning" period I analysed and re-analysed my so called relationship with S3ood. It never really existed I guess, was it all in my head? I'll never know for sure, but at one moment, that moment in the park I knew he loved me, no, I know he loves me still, but he couldn't say it. He couldn't say it because he doesn't trust me with his heart, he compared me to her, and somehow, for some reason, that hurt more than it would've hurt if he told me that he thought of me as a friend, that my feelings were not reciprocated.
And so, I move on.
A few days ago 3abdallah came to me for a favour. God I love this guy! If he wasn't with my sister I think I would've stolen him for myself! He wanted to plan a surprise proposal for Fa6oom. With all the drama that happened with them earlier, his proposal was not the type that he would want to tell his kids about, so now the favour was that we need to get that ring back from Fa6oom. How are we to do that?
Mission steal the ring commenced yesterday afternoon. Fa6oom was in the shower, so I sneaked into her room and stole the ring from the "secret" place where she hides it. Since she's still not officially engaged to 3abdallah she can't be seen flaunting the ring, so she keeps it in a drawer in her dresser, I knew that because I caught her a few times secretly trying it on and staring at her hand with a stupid smile on her face. I took the ring, quickly ran to 3abdallah and handed the ring over to him. As soon as I walked into the apartment I could hear noises coming out of Fa6oom's room. I walked in to find her surrounded by clothes, while frantically emptying all the drawers in her room. Shit that was quick, she must've missed the ring.
"Fa6oom shfeech? Shetdawreen?"
"Noorooooo my ring! I can't find it anywhere ana 7a6eta hne!" she said pointing at the drawer,
"Ay ring?" I said hoping that she won't suspect anything,
"My ring Nooro MY RING! Illy 3a6any iyah 3abdallah!" she yelled, tears streaming down her face. Oh. I didn't think she'd get that upset, we should've thought this through.
"Al7een shagool lah? What if he asked me about it? Agoola I lost it?"
"Sammy belra7man o dawreeh shway shway ila ma bet7a9leena" I said, suddenly feeling guilty, I went to my room and sent 3abdallah a text message,
"You better come down and propose to her this instant! She's hysterical!"
He replied saying he's getting his stuff together and will do it the next day. Ten minutes later he was at our door, he walked in calling Fa6oom, as soon as she heard his voice she wiped her tears and rushed out of her room, not wanting him to suspect anything about the lost ring. The rest of the evening was uneventful, but the next day was absolutely beautiful.
I woke up early before Fa6ma and rushed to 3abdallah's appartment, where we prepared everything for the proposal. He filled the apartment with white roses, cooked her favourite breakfast and then started pacing the apartment nervously until it was time for her to wake up. At 11 am exactly he called her telling her that he had a fever and he wanted her to go upstairs. My poor sister pulled on her rattiest shorts and tshirt and her hair was all over the place when she rushed upstairs to him. I waited in the apartment for them to walk in and break the news to me. Exactly an hour and a half later they walked in together, hand in hand, both beaming with happiness and told me that they are now engaged. 5alty Mariam has already spoken to my parents, who had no objection at all to the marriage. They were now, finally, after all these years, officially together. I cannot describe how happy I am, they both truly deserve to be happy, I wish them all the best and can't wait to see their beautiful babies.
We will be having an engagement party for the happy couple next weekend. I volunteered to prepare everything for the party. I was still in a state of euphoria, grinning stupidly when I sat down to write what I'll need for the party; at that moment exactly, it dawned on me that S3ood will be invited to that party, he is his brother after all. I suddenly felt like a dark shadow was being cast on my sunny day, as my pen hit the paper.
Just as I get ready to move on, he has to come and ruin it all.
Until next time..
